Cooking hamburgers on the grill doesn't have to be the same old, same old. Add some pizzazz to your next barbecue by packing some added flavor right into the burgers.
A dinner menu featuring hamburgers is everybody's favorite.
Try different types of cheese, onions, peppers and spices to fit your tastes.
Combine the first nine ingredients (ground round, tomatoes, cilantro, chili powder, jalapeno, salt, oregano, cumin and pepper) in a bowl; stir well. Divide mixture into four equal portions, shaping into ½-inch thick patties.
Prepare grill. Place patties on grill rack coated with cooking spray. Grill 6 minutes on each side or until done. Place one cheese slice on top of each patty; cover and grill an additional minute or until cheese is slightly melted.
Spread one tablespoon of sour cream over top of each bun, and set aside. Place patties on bottom halves of each bun; top each with lettuce, tomatoes, onions (if desired) and top half of bun. Serves 4.
Combine hamburger, egg, Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce in a large bowl and mix well. Crush Club crackers in a large Ziplock bag by rolling with a rolling pin. Add cracker crumbs to meat mixture. Add pepper, oregano and parsley. Cook on a preheated grill and brush with more Worcestershire sauce while grilling. Makes 6 hamburgers.
Mix together ground beef, egg and seasoning. Form ground beef mixture into 8 thin patties. Top four patties with mushrooms, onion and cheese. Place another patty on top of each. Press edges to seal. Grill until done well, about 5 minutes per side.
Mix ground round with garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce. Form mixture into 12 thin patties. Place on top of 6 of the patties some bleu cheese and bacon. Top with remaining 6 patties and press to seal. Grill until done well, about 5 minutes per side.
